    Doogie and Duke

Here's one of him relaxing in my computer chair.

I told you about Doogie getting water from Duke's water bowl. Here's the proof. It sets about 2 ft off the ground. He's pawing the water. Does that a lot. Then washes his paws. Very cute.

He's drinking here but I didn't quite get it. I keep his kitty water bowl full all the time but he won't drink out of it. He likes Duke's big water bowls and drinking from the sink.

I am so angry! Yesterday, I bought this cool 4 level scratching post combo thing. It's too long. It's supposed to fit the ceiling but it's just too long. Got to take it back. He was going to love it, too. Got on it while it was halfway assembled. The thing at the pet store I wanted to get him cost $80. No way can I do that right now. So, I guess I've got to get him just a crappy scratching post. He was going to love this thing. I'm so disappointed.
This last one I just took about an hour ago. I'm so proud they're getting along so well. I just love this pic.

But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Duke is such a gentle sweetheart around Doogie! I can't get over how fast they seemed to bond with each other! Was Doogie ever around dogs in the past? I know not with Donna, but before?

    This picture is so precious!

Duke is 11 1/2 and Doogie is 1 1/2. My mom thinks that Duke thinks somehow our RB Kitty Boy is back. But, he and KB didn't really get along. I don't know why it's as good as it is but I am so thankful. It's such a joy to have a cat again. Doogie purrs like crazy.

    Re: Doogie and Duke

I'd give ANYTHING to see Nicki lying with Allen (or Pouncer, Harry or Abby) like this:

As for the scratching post, they are easy enough to make yourself. You can even get the carpet for free if you check out a carpet installer's dumpster (if you ask they might let you take a pice to make it) Many PTers have successfully made really cool posts.

This new addition was obviously sent from God, Val, for you and for Donna. I am just amazed at how adaptable he is!! Butter is the same way in many ways, but he has not been as accepted by the other cat in the house, Mimi. He has never had a problem with the dogs, though, which is a good thing.

Doogie, I love you, and I think you are one special boy. And Duke, you are a special boy too, to accept your new brother as well as you have!!!! Hurray for both of you!!!!
