    RIP Chris

I am almost embarrassed to post this, because it is the second incident of this type in the state of Tennessee.

Once again, a police officer has killed a dog...this one a 15-year old family pet.

RIP Chris and know that you are loved my many people who didn't know you before, but certainly do now. Run free now big guy.

What an awful story. I would not be able to deal with that. That police officer should lose his gun, he obviously can't handle it. How dangerous can a 15 year old dog act? RIP Chris.

RIP Chris. You are out of harm's way now and are free to run and play at the RB.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    Angry RIP Chris

I don't know at this point, whether any action will be taken against the officer.

The last I heard, it was being sent to the district attorney for review. However, the Police Chief found the shooting "justified" and then changed his tune when there was such public outcry.

I get angry all over again every time I think about it.
