I heard this story on the news yesterday.
There was this old lady who had a dog. She was approaching somewhere in her 90's. She did not have very much money... so she could barely afford to pay the rent of her apartment, and she could barely buy food for herself and her dog. Since she was getting so old, and she was short on money, some people wanted her to go to a nursing home to live, which did not accept dogs. She really did not want to go because she didnt want to leave her dog, because she loved him. So she begged and pleaded not to go, but they just would not listen. So about a week before she was planning to move in to the nursing home, a wealthy man read about her in the paper. He thought to himself, "everybody should own a dog." So he sent a check for $5,000 dollars to the old woman! She was so happy and grateful. So she first bought food and paid the rent for her apartment. So she no longer will have to live in the nursing home!
I just thought that was a wonderful TRUE story. Some people are just so kind.
