    What is this called?

A few of my friends & I would like to spend a weekend or week doing something fun this summer, we decided to try to find a resort type place that offers this: Adult obstacle course (kind of like boot camp), you know where you climb walls, run through tires, swing on ropes, etc.. to test our strenght & to trust eachother to work together.
We can't seem to find any ifo on it but we dont know the appropiate name either.
If anyone has info please let us know, we are in the upstate ny area (near Rochester) but we will travel up to about 4-6 hours or so (adirondaks etc..).
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.

Looks like most of them offer "Team Building" which sounds like what you're looking for.

How about Outward Bound??? I know they have a different agenda but maybe they also might have week-long retreats. It's worth a try.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

How about orienteering? You need to use a compass, or learn to, and it usually involves running through the woods, there's a whole lot of groups and events, etc - see http://www.us.orienteering.org/

We learned to do that in high school gym class, and it was fun, but there aren't usually ropes courses involved (though my school had those, too!).

I'm guessing Hoad is your last name? But no, it doesn't ring a bell, I'm a Mussaw, there are lots of us allover, even got a couple relatives down in Fl.
I do know a Matt & Megan in the Palmyra area (ar at least they were there a few months ago) They are early 20's or so? One is related to the Carr's.

    Lv4dogs,
Why don't you and your friends pack up and come to Cinti? I will have PLENTY for you guys to do...painting, re-landscape my backyard, finish my upstairs....you can consider the many cats an 'obstacle course'....as you have to act fast and move slow to get around them. You guys can learn 'trust' by sleeping outside under my covered patio, protecting each other from the cicadas that will be here...and, it will be FUN!
