    Hero Cat

Our tortie Sydney awoke us earlier this morning .... at first she sat at the bottom of the stairs mewing - which she does from time to time when she's feeling particularly lonely. However, the mewing quickly turned into a persistent yowling - the kind that happens when they are about to be sick.

Rushing downstairs, we found her staring at the door to the garage. It didn't take long to hear the sound of rushing water and locate a burst water pipe in the garage. The water damage is minimal considering it's a garage, but I'm sure glad we didn't discover it 5 hours later when we got up at our regular time!!!

Now here's the "pause for thought" part - we're leaving for 10 days vacation - tonight.

Here's a pic of our little hero!!

You go, girl! Isn't it amazing and wonderful how pets are "tuned in" to things in their world and can very well articulate when something just isn't quite right!

Kudos to meowmie and daddycat for having the awareness to watch the kittie signs! Sometimes they really are trying to tell us something!!

    Good Kitty!

Pets are a lot smarter than a lot of people give them credit for and Sydney is a prime example of that. I hate it when I hear "Dumb Cat" (or dog). They are very smart creatures.... Hay, they train us to respond to their every whim din't they? Give that girl anything she wants now! She was a really great little, beautiful girl!

Sydney what a great job you did letting your humans know of a problem. You deserve a medal of honor for doing such a good deed.

P.S. You are not only a hero but a beautiful baby as well.

I agree with everyone who said that you are one beautiful cat Sydney and a true hero.
I'm sorry this had happened to you but it's uncanny how things like this happen just before you plan on going away.
