Im going to be getting maggie micro chipped with my own money and I was wondering how much you paid for it. I want to get your response, but I going to give my vet a call.

We just got Lucee chipped yesterday it was $28.00 at the vet and then $15.00 to the chip people, AVID, ( have to mail them a check) to have the number regestered nation wide instead of just our city, or it may be state.

Money will buy a pretty good dog but it won't buy the wag of his tail. - Josh Billings
My vet charges $35. I didn't know there were additional charges. I plan to get my furkids done soon.

The additional charges depend on where you get the chipping done. I had Emily chipped through a promotion with the local SPCA and I just had to pay the chipping fee. Whereas I had Tanner chipped at the vet and it was $35 + the registration fee. So maybe ask your local SPCA and they may have a reduced rate.
I think we charge $35.00 and the company charges $12.50 extra to register the microchip.
Great idea!! We're having all our cats done as they go to the vet.
...RIP, our sweet Gini...
Our dogs were $35 for the chip and $12.50 to register. Sounds like most the prices are pretty comparable.
I know the humane society in Findlay sometimes offers dicounts to have your pets chipped, the more pets the bigger the savings. I don't know if any other shelters do this or not, but it may be something to look into.
