Good ideas for taking pictures of dogs...

I want some good ideas for taking pics of my dog. (Like, how she can look cute in a picture, how she can look funny, how she can look pretty...ect) If you want to show a picture, you are welcome too. Thanks!

Yea, how bout' some SimSim photos?! And some ideas, too! How about you show us all of the pictures you have of Simba? Or, at least the ones we haven't yet seen, or some new ones? What do you think KayAnn?!

Simba pics are always good. Angie can also provide plenty of hints on how to make good pictures. All of hers are beautiful. If I recall, she is studying photography.

My favorite pose is a pose where the dog is not looking straight into the camera. Have Sadie focus on something else it gives the picture more beauty.

The backgrounds are just as important as the pose, find nice colorfulbackgrounds like long grass, flowers, water, sky ......

Think themes, what does Sadie like, what do you like, what do you think of when you think of a lab ??? water, ducks..... set up your own backgrounds if you have to.

Cute pics, get stuffed toys, fluffy blankets and a cute cocked head pose.

I'll leave some pics to show you what I mean.

    A Cute Pose

Not looking right at the camera
A nice background and a great pose

    and a theme

Have fun take pictures, try different things, and don't always follow the rules of lighting some great pics came from the wrong lighting but came out different and very nice.

Well she basicly covered the whole thing, I think pics taken outside come out best... Like she said, pics with a nice background, my fav is also when the dog is looking away, or their head cocked, the way i get the head cocked is i say CHEESE! hehehe And of course thoose ears go up and i ge thim to look straight up at me.. the best to get a dog to look away is just sit there for a while.. outside works best because normally he isnt intrested in me while outisde he likes looking at other thing.. well heres one of my fav pics, i just took a branch of a bush that popped up in our back yar ( we cant figure out what it is) and made him say down in some taller grass and layed it by him.. But then again to get professional looking pic u have to have a dog that will cooperate, make sure said knows he sit and stay or lay and stay command well befor u waste a while roll of film if she gets up while u are in what i call " doggie FoTo Session" ok well heres the pic:
