    Stud Service

Hey, I have a question. I have a male Basset named Spud. He is so cute and has really good markings. I was just wandering the pros and cons of Studding him out. I really don't care about the money or anything. I just don't see a lot of Bassets in my area. I wouldn't want to risk any homeless dogs. Any opinions??

    Welcome to Pet Talk!

You will find that most of us are rescuers are against breeding unless you are a professional, so I can't offer a lot of advice. Just enjoy your pet!!

Hi, and welcome! I'm with Logan. So many homeless dogs and already so many breeders; and it's not as "easy" as you might think. This is an article very similar to one that's posted on my vet's bulletin board. "So You Think You Want to Breed Your Dog?" It does give you something to think about! Good luck with your pup!!Read here
