    doggie booties

whenever my mom's friend brings her daughter to school, she brings along her lhasa apso (sp?). the other day, the dog had little botties on her paws and she said it was because the salt they put for the snow can burn the pad of the dog's paw. is this true? it makes sense to me... but i'm usually wrong
    thanks

It's funny that you should post this today! This afternoon, a customer brought his yelllow labbie (what a beautiful dog!) named Samuel (I believe).into the office. Anyway, to make a long story short, we have sprinkled a lot of salt down the front walkway because it was so slippery. That poor dog just licked & licked his feet. The owner said that salt really bother him, and they have a special foot wash thing so that after they walk him every night, he gets his feet washed before they go inside. I had never heard of salt bothering their feet either! He looked just like my Malone, only full-grown and quite a bit overweight. It made my day to have him come inside, though!!
