Bichon Bash 2011 - in our Back Yard!! PHOTO HEAVY

Saturday afternoon, we had a Bichon Bash, right in our back yard! Just THREE weeks in the making, and lots of help from Mary Ellen, as well as input from Ann-Marie.

Those present from BCA: Mary Ellen (Mattie and Sassy), Luana (Pepper) and her SIL, Janet, Ann-Maire (Angel), Dawn(Tinker Belle) and Stephanie (Flurry) with her friend, Katie. Also attending: Barbara (Bilou, Lily the Maltese, plus she is dog sitting this weekend and brought Rhett and Scarlett!), Paula ("Auntie" to Mary Ellen's and my fluffs, and whole lot of other doggies, lol), Joan (Sally and Francis) with her husband, Rick, and daughter Danielle, and Allison (Lily). Also, as a surprise for Mary Ellen (and Dawn as well) I invited Kathleen, our Agility Instructor. Including Dad and I, and our 5 fluffs, that made 19 people and 18 doggies!

I had lots of help decorating the yard. Willy found that quite a lot of work:

He had a rest while I took photos before folks arrived. At the driveway:

At the gate: I had the gate opened for this pic, you can see we had a double gate system for safety:

Various views of my back yard - I'm showing these because once folks and FLUFFS arrived, you saw glimpses) The bichon on my garden shed is one of several sent to us by Miss Mitsy and Lainey a few years ago. I had the individual dogs - and Mary Ellen's girls - also from Lainey - in the garden as added decor.

The summer theme was PINK - Pink Flamingoes, ha haa. Lacey advised me this was necessary as she was calling a meeting of the Pink Ladies Club!

I even found PINK flamingo Dog Toys! They have squeakers in them! :woohoo:

Oh boy, LOTS of photos to come!

Ann-Marie takes Angel EVERY WHERE, in her back pack. I just had to get a pic of this wonderful duo:

Tink was quite stylish in her red and white dress with hat and bows. Here she is greeting fluffs galore!

From left: Luana, Pepper, Ann-Marie w/ Angel, Mary Ellen w/ Mattie and Sassy.

Luana, Pepper, Ann-Marie and Angel, Mary Ellen w/ Mattie. Joan is standing, and WILLY is the one barking to her - not sure what that conversation was about.

I had suggested to everyone that they put bandannas on their fluffs, makes it easier to ID them in a sea of white. Also makes them easier to ID in photos! So, do you think I have a clue who has which bandanna?

Sugar(front) Marlin (back) Bilou (under the table) -- Everyone brought something to eat, and the food was SOooo GOOD!

Luana and Pepper (good example of why I had to share what the decorations looked like, lol)

Joan w/ Francis, Barbara w/ Scarlett, Dad w/ Sugar, Rick w/ Sally, and Rhett is in front

As always, Lacey is happy if she is UP in a chair, and can see me.

Dad has Sugar in his lap.

    Rick with Sally

After almost 2 hours, my flock was overwhelmed, and I finally DID allow them in the house for a short rest. Lacey, of course, went straight to the cat perch.

Then we were back outside again.

Many laps were FULL! This is Barbara with Bilou (across her lap and facing left), Scarlett and Lily.

    So she added Rhett --

And Lily snuck out under the arm of the chair.

    Ann-Marie talking to Angel.

Rhett decided HE likes to be UP, as well.

That's all I got -- I missed several fluffs and people. Tink and Lily hit it off and blitzed several times, first one in front, then the other. I tried catching that on video and of course, missed it. I know lots of cameras were busy, so perhaps the "missing" are on other folks' cameras.

Once everyone left, I got the basics done (food in fridge) and went to bed. HAD to be the bed, as the fluffs needed time w/ me, as did the cats. Everyone snuggled up next to me and we slept almost 2 hours. WHEW!

During that time, apparently Dad helped himself to much of the food  that we kept ( we sent alot home w/ folks as well).

I still can hardly believe it happened! Seems like I spent ages preparing, Saturday morning decorating, next thing I was saying good by to folks and walking them out. What happened to the 3+ hours in between?! It was CRAZY FUN! And I know 18 fluffs who will slept well that night.

    MORE PICS!
I think this is a link to a slide show of the photos Joan took. I've added a few titles, run out of time for the moment!

    Beautiful Bichons

The Bichons all look so beautiful, looks like they had a great time at your place and they made friends and were right at home. They all remind me of Fritz who would have been with us 9 years on August 8th.

OMG - now that was pure Heaven - lost in a sea of Fluffs!!!
What - no pics of Willy stealing food? He must have been on his best behavior.
I hope everyone got the correct Fluff to take home when they were leaving.......

With that many of the little poofballs, you could teach them to "SNOW!" and they could pile on top of someone. But it looks like they do it just fine on their own . Fun day! Dogs must be pooped.
