Chestnut: Thanks for all the prayers PT

Here he is, Chestnut! As you can see, he appears fine. Walks, talks, eats, drinks, pees and poops. He just can't JUMP! His muscle tone in both rear legs is completely GONE.

We've been pumping meds in him for almost 4 weeks now. His URI is almost gone. The first week, Clindamyacin, NO change. So the vet put him on Baytril. That is working, but slowly.

He was on tramadol for a bit, but other than making him sleepy that made no difference. He's been on prednisone for anti inflammation; but no change. I'm not going to keep that up.

No ideas what the issue is, the vet suspects some sort of nerve damage. She doesn't want him doing stairs, so I have to close the cellar door to allow him out of the spare bedroom. (I have 8 litter boxes in the cellar.) He walks around the house and then settles on my bed, which has always been his preferred sleeping spot. I know he gets up using the stairs, but haven't actually SEEN him do the stairs yet. (I know, NO STAIRS, it is 4 steps up to my bed; he is a CAT he needs to be UP.)

Thank you for all the prayers for my boy. No worse; but no better, either. Very strange.

He's so sweet, and I thought it was especially cute when he was "talking to us"!

I hope he keeps improving! Best wishes to him, for a speedy recovery!

Aww, Chestnut! Thank you for the nose-kissie! I loved hearing your soft voice. I hope you keep improving, too!

He's walking around just great! Well done, Chestnut.

He's so adorable and I'm glad that he's able to walk around without any problems. I hope he'll continue to improve. I'll continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Aw, the little sweetie pie. Jumping is overrated anyhow. At least he won't be up on the countertops. I'm so glad that he's doing well.
    Blessings,
