    Malone & His Kong (pics)

Tonight, Mark was eating an apple (a fresh crisp autumn apple!) and Malone kept begging for a bite. Not wanting dog slobber on his precious apple, Mark wouldn't let him have any. Poor pupper! Anyway when he was all done, he put the core into the kong, and you should have seen Malone turn in circles trying to get the goody out. If there's just cookies in there he knows how to turn the kong over & over until they plop out, but the apple core stayed in there. But he worked & worked for probably 15 hillarious minutes and then finally got his reward.

These pics aren't the greatest, but he was moving way too fast to capture any better!

I'll ocasionally give smudge and Winter their kongs with either peanut butter or cheese whiz and for an extra treat I'll stick a cookie in it...of course it's usually when I'm going out so I never get to see it, but one of these days I will.

Thanks Amy for the great sig!

Too cute! Nebo gets either his red kong (like that one), milkbone ball, or molecuball (something like that) every day when I leave to go to work. Hrm...yeah he probably gets too many treats, lol, but it keeps him from barking and getting the neighbors after me!

Are apples good for dogs? I certainly hope so. My mom bought this huge box of apples. Just for fun I washed one off and gave it to Nebo...I figured...it's like a toy (ball) *and* food..and it'd keep him busy for quite a long while. I was going to throw it away before he ate too much of it. Well..um...he was much quicker at eating it then I though....had the ENTIRE thing gone in no time lol.

I finally got some pics of the dogs with their Kongs. I had to make a mixture of good food that took them a long time to work on
Don't this sound yummy....peanut butter, chicken livers & gizards & hamburger with a big milkbone right in the middle but my oh my, they just loved it! Roxey was really the only one who really "worked" to get everything out. The other 2, I had to take the milkbone out so they could lick the rest of it out....big babies!
Well anyways, here's a couple of pics, enjoy!
Looks like she's really having a time, don't she?!

And look, even one of them laying all together!

LOL!!! The furbabies are having a BLAST with their kong!

Anna, this is so funny! May I know who's the fastest among the three ?

Missy loves it too. I put a lot of peanut butter to keep her busy and you could see her eyes rolling while licking her kong!

    Hmmm.........Yummy!!!

    More please....

Great pics everybody! At my house, we've done the Peanut Butter thing once since we got Destiny! Dakota ended up getting double the treat because Destiny didn't understand what was going on so she just let her Kong be! I'm sure she'll get the idea soon. Brian and I just haven't don't it again lately. We'll have to try again soon though so that I can get pics of them doing it!

    Cute Pics everyone!!!!
Keegan would much rather have her Peanut butter or cheese stuffed into a sterile hollow bone.
But she does like her Kong for the most part.
Maybe if Anna came over and cooked for her.......
