Hello everyone....maybe there is already a thread about Louie, but I couldn't spot it. I just want to say how delightful it is to see a cattle dog who is happy and doing what he is supposed to be doing.........working and playing hard!! A neighbor has a working dog who stays penned all day, and it breaks my heart!!

What a wonderful boy you are, Louie!! Such an energetic, loving life, kinda guy. We love your pictures. We see that you can drive too like our doggies from yesterday. We think we'll ask Mom if we can use her car. Have we told you how handsome you are? Va va va voom!!! We would love to meet you in person but since we can't , please tell the family to give you lots of scratches and kisses from us today. Congrats on being our fabulous DOTD!! Hey there Louie! Happy Dog of the Day to you! Well, if any doggie can handle a tractor, it's a Blue Heeler! But you just might be the first pup I've met who can climb a tree!!! And I have to agree with my fellow poster, you make one awesome doggie model! What a handsome boy you are, and wow, doesn't the camera love you! That top shot of your hunky self? "Cover boy" material, for sure! What a lucky Dad, having you as his devoted companion, farm assistant and all around best bud! We all know you Heelers are at the top of the list in the working drive and smarts' departments! But lucky Dad yours, he also has a best friend and loving companion with a heart of gold! Just wanted to say thanks for all yalls comments on my son errrrr dog. He's an incredible heeler and honestly the smartest dog ive ever seen. I know those dogs that do dances and shows are pretty cool but louie's tricks and the chores he preforms are incredible. Yes he does climb trees he can run up the trunk and jump up into the branches when i say "louie get in the tree" or if he see's a SQ (we have to use code's around louie cause we tried just spelling words out but it didn't take him very long to learn that C O W ment the same thing as cow). He rides the tractor, in my jeep, and even behind my saddle if Duke is walking- when he start to trot lou get nervous and if he gallops louie bounces off and just runs with us. He lets himself out and closes the door behind him when he gets in. We taught him to open the fridge in 2 days but never progressed to getting anything out (for fear we'd be thawing a tbone and it wouldn't be there later...). He knows all the vehicles and parts of the house and barn, he's bring me lead ropes and knows the difference between dukes, junior and EZ's rope. He wanted me to tell yall thanks for the hansom complements and he's not currently in a relationship. Have a great day and thanks again
