I just read this and it's cool that a dog can live this long and still be healthy and happy! It's a sweet story, too. Enjoy.
It was on the Today show, but I missed it.

Hey! i just read that and was gonna post it on here but you beat me to it! lol! it's a cute story though.
I read that story earlier today. I can't believe how great it is that Chanel has reached such a ripe old age. Her owner must have had her most of her life because she looks fairly young. Doesn't that give us all encouragement?
I've been Boo'd...
Thanks Barry!
That's amazing! I believe dogs can live that long - My beagle mix was 18 also..
You're the one sure thing I've found so you better stick around...Best Fireman in da House´10

I have groomed several nineteen and twenty year old dogs ... and one that was barely twenty-one when she died. All of them poodles, incidentally. The difference though, was a that the dog I knew that was twenty-one was deaf, blind, completely incontinent, wore diapers, and lived in a crate. She should have been euthanized long before she died, IMO, she had no quality of life left.
"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam
"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien
That is cool! I read somewhere not to long ago (i don't remember where i read it) there was a Chihuahua that lived until it was 20 years old. It was very loved and beautiful!
