Goodbye, Winston.....

I had to say goodbye to my Winston yesterday.....I adopted his mom when she was pregnant (Chelsea COTD 1-15-09) so he owned me from the moment I helped him into this world. He was the runt of the litter but such a little fighter....such a will to live....He had some sort of neurological problem that kept his colon from working properly (among other things) but with lots of experimentation and love, we finally found the magic diet. He ate, thrived, and grew into a spunky, lovable kitty. I called him my pit bull because he was all muscle and so strong.
Sadly, he condition started to deteriorate and in spite of surgery and the best of care, he didn't make it.
He blessed my life for almost two years....
Godspeed, my little boy cat.....I'll see you on the other side.....

So sorry your little "pit bull" didn't make it. Sometimes those miserable unfair health issues get the better of them- and nothing we can do to help it except stop them suffering any longer, send them where they're forever young and healthy and fit and happy, to wait for us-

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. Godspeed Winston to the RB. Have fun, look for our other PT RB babies, and play hard and painfree.

Poor Little Winston .
You fought so hard, but now your battles done and you will be at rest , with the Animal Angel Army.
That reminds me of a eulogy from a movie long ago.
The way you walked was thorny
Through no fault of your own
But as the rain enters the soil
And the river enters the sea
Tears stained you predestined fate
Your suffering is over
Now you Winston will find peace for eternity.
RIP Dear Winston, and we know yoou will love travelling the world looking for just the right place for you and your family to be together once more in love.
