Where in the World do you live?

PT has grown a lot over the last few years, so I thought it would be nice to see where everyone is living in the world. This poll is for other countries than S. America, USA and Canada. I made a poll for that already. See: http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=150136

I answered Scandinavia, although Finland isn't really part of it.

    It's 9pm right now

Finland doesn't count as part of Scandinavia? I always thought Scandinavia was Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

No, Finland is not part of Scandinavia according to Wikipedia, but in this case, let's just pretend it is.

Scandinavia[1] is a historical and geographical region in northern Europe that includes the Scandinavian Peninsula. It consists of the kingdoms of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark;[2] some authorities also include the nations of Finland and some might even include Iceland. [3][4]

I also believed Finland was part of Scandinavia!

In France we are GMT+1 in winter and GMT+2 in summer.

My grandmother was never known to be Scandinavian, but she was all Finnish!

I found this overall discussion on the subject:

    Is Finland Part of Scandinavia?

Russian Blue, that was an interesting read, thanks for sharing. As stated, Norweigiians, Swedes and Danes would say these three countries are Scandinavia - and if an employer want people who can speak and understand the Scandinavian languages, these are the counties they refer to. We can all understand each other, while Finnish is quite different.

    More votes, please!

How does Greenland fit in, if it does at all? I don't think the native language there is even remotely Scandinavian, but I gather Greenland is a territory of Denmark or has some tie to Denmark. ?
