Today is Blackie Loo's 4th Birthday!
Hard to believe my baby is four years old! Where does time go?
My mom persuaded me to get this tiny little dog when he was a few months old in rescue. I didn't want a Lab, especially him because they told me they thought he was mixed with beagle. I denied it then, but embrace it now. I wouldn't have my Beaglador any other way. He's the perfect little size that fits in my lap just right and is noisier than a herd of zebras.
We've been through a lot in these past four years. Raising hell in obedience class, biting people, being an unruly agility partner, destroying the home, beating up on his siblings and for the last 3/4 of his life separated due to college.
He may not look like the perfect dog, but in my eyes he's the only dog for me. He puts up with my photo shoots, loves me unconditionally (unless we're in public), and has taught me a lot about dog ownership and training. He is only my 5th dog ever, and before him things were always so simple. Shadow was the perfect dog without assistance and the Jack Russells were/are unbelievably easy (shocking, I know). We've had a rough road with Jack, but I like to think I'm much more knowledgeable now than ever before. I've put so much blood, sweat and tears into him...now I'm waiting for the pay off. Hehe.
But really, I love this dog more than anything. My boyfriend always tells me that Jack will always be the love of my life. I get to go home on Wednesday for break, I'm sure I'll have plenty of Roober pictures to share!
He's not the agility superstar, ball addict, water loving crazy dog I had always hoped and dreamed for....but he's Jackie Loo, and he means more to me than I could ever tell you.
HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY JACKIE LOO!!
