Thanks for the well wishes from everyone. I took some
pics tonight after work and believe I got some good ones.
It's kind of hard to get him to stay at least 4 feet away
from me & the camera so I can get a shot. I'll take some
shots outside in the yard tomorrow. Smokey is sleeping
now, thank heavens. This new Mommy business is hard

Yes, I think I even surprised myself in choseing this pup to
raise ,train and love. LOL. I really thought about all the pros
and cons of adult vs younger dog and tried to consider also
my four inside kitties plus the three "outside kitties that I
love and care for. I wanted to have a doggie "raised up"
with having the kitties around. I wanted the kitties not to
fear this new family member. I didn't specifically look for a pup
but; there he was. I had Smokey out in the backyard last
evening and I can tell you it was just something to watch this
little guy discovering the brand new world around him.He had
to investigate every stick and weed & listen to the the sounds
of neighborhood dogs barking down the block. I would roll a
tennis ball across the lawn and he would dive for it, with his
body completely stretched out. So funny to watch...The ball is
too big for his mouth so he grags it with his paws.

Liz, you probably didn't really have a choice...afterall, Smokey picked YOU, right? There are advantages to having a puppy. They do keep you moving. No sitting in a chair to relax after work.

Liz, as I said before, I am SOOOOO happy for you! Smokey sounds too cute! Now...I am trying to be patient, but WHERE ARE THOSE PUPPY PICS???????!!!!!!!!

LOL I hope the new little bundle of joy and energy didn't chew up the camera and/or the film I can imagine Smokey is making you laugh a lot, and bringing some much needed happiness back into your sweet self, Liz. Enjoy those innocent years. That is one thing that I miss so much...puppies. Please give Smokey a hug and kiss for me
