Let me tell you about Bernie

Today, Helen and I had the pleasure of escorting Bernie towards his forever home. Bernie was a severly abused puppy and the attachment I post will indicate the severity of his abuse. So, don't open the attachment if you can't handle seeing what some sorry soul did to a precious puppy. What I will say is that the wounds are almost totally healed thanks to the goodwill of some Samaritans out there. What we saw today is the Bernie that I will post as an insert. The attachment shows Bernie's injuries the day he was taken into rescue. In 58 miles, we fell for him, totally. Aren't dogs the most forgiving of all? This boy was set on fire, literally, and has bounced back to be the most loving fellow I have seen in a long, long time.

Here's Bernie, as he was today. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture, but I think you get the point.

Bernie is precious. I didn't open the attachment because I just can't bear to see this sweet boy in pain. May Bernie's new home be the very best one possible and may he live the rest of his life with places to play, food to eat, and loving hearts and hands to care for him. Thank you, Logan, for being a link in the chain that made it possible for another sweet dog to live the life that he deserves.

Logan, thank you for being there for this sweet boy. With all that you have going on in your life now you still came to the aid of one who could not help himself. Isn't it amazing that the horror that this little one lived through can no longer be seen through his bright eyes and the 'smile' on his face. You are a hero Logan! Have a good life Buddy!!!!!!

The hero is the person who intervened and kept animal control from putting this vivacious, precious boy to sleep, giving him a chance at life. He has been taken in by All Pets Rescue in Foxboro, MA. I don't think it will take long for him to find his forever home. Helen and I were bowled over by him, and Teresa, the girl who drove him to meet us, cried like a baby when she left him! He was that precious, really.

    Logan

I can understand why you two were bowled over by him! That sweet precious smiling face!
I just can't understand why kids (and adults) do the things they do. They must have some sort of a mental problem
But I do hope he gets a forever home soon, he looks like he's gonna be a great dog!!
Thanks for being there to help him along his way!

    Logan:
As always, you've been the Guardian Angel for a helpless pup. I could not open the attachment, I can't stand to look at animals in pain. But from Bernie's picture it looks like he's fully recovered and ready to go to a forver home, thanks to you and all the other people willing to give him a second chance in life. Bless you all!!! And best wishes for a long and happy life for Bernie.

Like many of the others I could not open the attachment but I can see why you would fall in love with him. He is adorable, someone out there will be very lucky to have him. His face looks so bright and full of life. I will never understand what gets into people to do things like that, but then there are people like you who truly care. Good job Logan.
