    Cavalier King Charles Spaniel?

Ive had my girl for a while and have never been sure as to what she was mixed with. I do know for sure she has Beagle in her, but the other breed[s] have been a mystery.
I have recently discovered that she may be part CKCS.

She's 12'' at the shoulder. Weighs roughly 15-20 lbs. Her bark is quite similar to the sort of 'yodel' that beagles and other hounds do.
She is slightly longer than she is tall.

    What do you think?

    Beagle

    CKCS

Beagle/CKCS mix a pretty acurate guess? [Im sure there's something else in there as well]

This is just for my own curiousity. Her breed doesnt really matter, I love her all the same. Im just curious.

She's a doll. I also see Jack Russell or something similar, especially in the third photo where she's holding her ears all the way forward...only because her ears are shorter than both breeds you mentioned...although I see spaniel in there, too...it's always neat to try to figure out what they're mixed with.

She looks exactly like a longer eared version of my dog Gracie who is a Lab x jack russel.

    How tall is Gracie?

I think Katy is too small to have any lab in her.

I know she probably doesn't have lab in her but she could have some jack russel. Gracie is about 28 pounds.

    She is very cute!

I honestly, though, don't see any CKCS in her. I think if that were the case, she would have longer drop ears, like finns mom mentioned. I also think she would have more white and quite a bit of brown, tan or red in her coloring.

She might indeed have some terrier in her. Although, I would guess that one of her parents was a solid black dog. I think it is unlikely that a beagle and CKCS or a JRT would throw a solid black pup. She may have dozens of different breeds in her immediate family.

Also, somtimes dogs look NOTHING like either parent. My brother had a solid black English cocker spaniel who, sadly, fell in love with his neighbors yellow lab one day. There was no question about who the father of the puppies were. My sister took one. When the puppy grew up, you would have NEVER guessed EITHER breed by looking at her. She was tan and dark brown, with markings rather like a husky.

So it's really hard to say.

I have attached a picture of my dog Georgie. He was a back yard breeder's "accident" - one of their beagles got into the Jack Russell pen. So I KNOW he is a JRT/Beagle cross. He is, as you can see, the white and brown coloring one would most likely expect from this mix.

My best guess would be that your doggie has black and tan dachshund in her parentage. Or maybe min pin.
