Atlanta photos - Part II - Sightseeing - *pic heavy*

After Dragon*Con we spent a week in Atlanta taking in the sights. My other sister Jenn flew in to vacation with us. We even met Sara Loves her Tinky and Alden at Stone Mountain!

    Highlights..

Top of Stone Mountain (1683 ft. above sea level)

    Andy reflecting

    Hiking down

    It's Sara & Alden!

    Sara and I

Alden shows off his throwing arm

    Alden offers Andy a rock

Andy started off down the open field to get a closer view of the carving in the rock. Alden started crawling after him! It was so cute. So we picked up our stuff and started after the boys. Linn caught up with Alden and picked him up. He was shy at first but quickly warmed up. They are both so sweet!

    Carving in the mountain

    Walking and chatting

The candy stash that Sara gave us!! (8 lbs. of sugary stuff... yes, we weighed it *laughs*)

These are great, Kimmy. (I almost said Amy.....I don't know why I always do that) I'm just sad we didn't get to meet you, too, being so close.

You're welcome. It was such a great time.

We were awe struck by the Coke Bear (being costumers). We got an employee to share the secrets of the outfit. A master puppeteer is in the suit and uses a tv moniter to see. The suit is very flexible (you can see him sitting in the photo gallery) and even all the digits of the hand move independently. I wasn't expecting to be "bitten" but I'm glad we caught it on video. I swear we were stalking that poor Bear. *laughs*

Mei Lan turned a year old the week we were there. If anyone can make it to see them, do so! All the pandas will be going back to China soon.

Logan, I want to visit SC one of these days.

Great pictures!! I guess I didn't realize there was so much to do in Atlanta.
Ralph and I have been talking about places to go for along weekend. Maybe I should add Atlanta to the list of possibilities!

Love the Gernal Lee! That is too cool!
