New painting in Progress. Westie this time.

This has been commissioned by a work colleague for her mum. Nina was her mums dog but she died at the age of two after a short life full of health problems. She was undergoing X-rays when she died under the anaesthetic.
They had this really cute reference photo of her. She was on a brown cushion with a simba from lion king stuffed toy next to her and 70s style striped curtains behind her. I took all that out and put a dark blue behind and just the impression of some blanket for her to be sitting on. I'm not going to put too much effort into that. It doesn't photograph too well anyway.

At least we can focus on the painting this time and not on the obesity of the dog...HAHA

    Thanks guys.

Finally a new update. All the top part of the head and sides etc...is just ugly under work. No real detail or refinement put into that yet. Plus there are a few glitches to work on as I go along.

I've been a little busy lately with work, wing chun training..I have my assessment tomorrow too...Yikes...and photography.
I did another photoshoot with a mates GSDs yesterday and got some great shots. I may post some if people are bothered.
