    Whew...New flower bed is in!

I started working on my Flower bed at 7:00am this morning, it is now 2:30pm,and I am finally done! Well pretty much! He he he he!!

first a before shot.....pretty sad!!(the dark brown blob in the dirt, is a chicken having a dust bath!)

    Now an After shot...

They are all Hibiscus Bushes, as I just love this plant!! It is by far my favorite!! Not to mention they stand up well against chickens!

some Hibiscus flower pics in Next post.

If you want some daffodil bulbs to throw in in the fall, let me know/

as lovely as that sounds, I had some in another flower bed, and well lets just say, the chickens ate good one day! I have given up on regular plants, I am all about chicken resistant bushes!

    LMAO!

My uncle had chickens, they never bothered the daffys. (Though he had fairly strict limits on their wanderings)

Yeah this is the price I pay for Insisting on having free-Range birds! But a happy bird is a healthy bird!

great pics and great flower bed!!
I got bit by the flower bug (finally) this year. My dad said I might inherit my grandma's green thumb yet - hopefully not my mom's selective brown one My grandma is watching over me up in heaven so I'm sure that she'll help them grow!
I didn't have to make any beds but some of the ones I do have had to be worked up - my mom came over a few weeks ago and we worked from 2pm till about 8pm!!!
