    Simba's sissy. -need help-

Well, Simba's sister is visiting us because her momma is going to a wedding. Simba and his sister, Hallie, got along very well, but now once Hallie came over, she is just being very very cranky and mean. We are having to lock-up Simba in my room. But Hallie is just growling (Yes, growling), and hissing at me, Simba, and my mom and day. And we have no idea why. Simba would want to play, and Hallie would just hiss. Also, Hallie loves tummy rubs, but I tried to give her one earlier, but she hissed at me and tried to bite. What do you tink is wrong? Is she homesick? Does she miss her momma. Or does she just not feel well.
(Hallie and Simba have both been spayed/neutered)

Hallie is just unhappy in her new surroundings and she is out of her "comfort" zone. and it will take time for her to adjust. Just give her time.

Well, she has been to my house before and didn't act like this. That is what has me worried.

Maybe keeping them separate is good for now. If it has been a while since Hallie has been over then she might not remember being there and it's a new scary place for her.

I'd suggest just letting her chill for a while and see if she acts better if not maybe call a vet.

It's very normal. As I learned the hard way many years ago, in the feline world, there IS no such thing as a family reunion. I brought my cat Mollie Rose back to her roots in Vermont and almost had my arm turned into shredded wheat when she saw her mama.

It's probably best to keep them separated for a while. It's best all around. Less stress on everyone.

Well, they are doing better! Hallie and Simba are sitting about 3 feet awat from each other. I think they finally remember each other! But there is still a little bit of Hissing comeing from Hallie.

First off, personally, I would have put Hallie in the room, not Simba.

Like others have said, if they have been apart for a long time, then they will need time to adjust to each other. Keeping them separated for now would be best.

Okay, I just saw your post where you said they are doing better. That's good, but I would keep them separated for the night though.

How long will Hallie be with you?

I think a major element here is Hallie's missing meowmie. (a double entendre, not planned) I'd wager that on Hallie's previous visits, meowmie was also in the house. She's lost her security blanket and is afraid.
