Charles Wright Elementary School 6th Grade Class (1965)

We had a great time reminiscing about Mr. Murray and how great his classes were. There was a book he used to read to us. One of the girls (women now, geesh!!) found a first edition of it at a book sale. All of us signed it and gave it to him. Mr. Murray told me he remembers me as a dancer, and everytime he sees a ballet, he thinks of me. I did dance for a few years with a major company in Hartford. I was very impressed that he remembered! Very memorable evening. I never knew kids in elementary school could actually become decent, law abiding human beings.

That's so cool! It must have been a nice surpise for Mr. Murray, that all of you still think of him! How did you guys find each other after all these years?

I recall that at our 10-yr. HS reunion, I went around finding all the "kids" I went through elementary school with - there were 13 of us there & it was really fun!

This is just too cool, Donna!! Imagine that. Meeting everybody after all these years and your teacher too! I'm just amazed at how great your reunion must have been. It just blows me away!! You have a really good looking group there too.

I am so jealous of you being able to do that! I went to school in Vriginia and live in Louisiana and have no idea where all my class mates are or even how to contact them.. I can't even remember their names!!

My sisters husband is getting ready to go to his class reunion in the fall in New York. He goes to those everytime they have one and he really enjoys them.. Looks like you all had a great time!

They took a picture of our class back in 1965 and enlarged it. I'll try and scan it and post it. We tried to line ourselves up in the recent photo as it looked back then.

My sister met her husband at her elementary school reunion - yes they were in grammar school together. They've been married for almost 20 years and have my three beautiful nieces.

I also went to my elementary school reunion quite a few years ago. It was SO much fun.

What a great bunch of people you have there, Donna.
