Bear has done so well in the house the past couple weeks!
I think shes had a total of 3 accidents & they were all our fault. This morning I woke upto a sad Bear. She pooped on the edge of her bed (shes living in the hall as we're painting the house, so she didn't have much room to poop anywhere else). I could see she felt bad for doing it, so I only pointed to it & said no pee pee in the house, as I felt she didn't need a fermer scolding for messing in the house, as she already knew she did wrong.
I'm still very impressed with her, as shes doing a fab job at holding herself longer & longer... When I'm home I'll keep an eye on her & make her wait up to an hour longer, until I put her outside. I'm hoping that'll help train her body that its ok to hold it a little longer.
I'm also VERY impressed on how & where she potties outside... She'll go to the very back of the yard & will poop ontop of poop, instead of pooping all over the yard in totally random spots. Her peeing habbits are the very same. I like it cause it means that I can walk on 3/4 of the yard & not step in something & its also cleaner looking for all neighbours.
Yesterday was the funniest poop I had ever seen.. she had 1 hind leg ontop of a boulder so she could poop in the corner hahaha
I was having a rough night & I know she was able to tell that I was disstressed about something, as she stayed really close to me & would just stare at me while her head was rested on me. She didn't want to be patted, no treat, no play, she just wanted to make sure I was ok, so she put herself on watch duty. That meant so much to me, cause thats what my old dog use to do to me when I had cronic pains in my knees, that would make me cry & shake for hours on end. Max would watch over me & he would get enough so I could grab him & squeeze him too hard (he knew I was in horrid pain, so he never cared that I accidently hurt him by squeezing too hard)... Max helpped me keep sane during those long lonely days of hell... Now I have Bear & she wants to do the same... I've been so lost without Max since his murder back in Dec 13th 2003 (thats pretty much when I lost my mind & went insane)... I'm hoping if Bear keeps this up that I can return to a more normal mental state. As I woke up for the first time in a SUPER awesome mood (it was kinda odd)... I honestly never thought I'd ever be able to have another dog this close to my heart again. When the house it 100% finished, My goal is to get Bear to start sleeping in my room in bed with me. Thats my biggest dream!!
