chew sticks

My cat Cobber loves to play fetch. Hey prefers those plastic wristbands made famous by Nike and Lance Armstrong. He also likes those imitation mice. He recently received a present of Chew Sticks. My question is: is he suppose to be chewing this thing like dogs do or is it to be used as a substitute for other toys? THANKS

None of my cats show any interest in gnawing or chewing. Chew sticks are only good as toys, as far as my cats are concerned; they roll and spin and fly across the hardwood floor. But chew? Nah, not my crew!
