    Snowshoe Siamese

I have an 11 month old Snowshoe Siamese. Her name is Mimi and she is a very special cat. Mimi is a very talkative girl and she just loves to play. Her favorite toys are balls and feathers. She likes shrimp and cannot stand rainbow trout <--- I find that odd since most cats love any type of fish. We got Mimi from a pet store for$ $50.00 which was weird since she is infact Purebred. She just isn't show quality. They prefer the Snowshoes with the upside down white "V" on their faces. Mimi is a great cat!

    Here's my baby Mimi...

If you have a Snowshoe or a Siamese, please post a picture because I LOVE Siamese cats!

Hi The Cat Factory..your kitties are so cute. I thought at first my Yum Yum was part siamese but she is a Ragdoll I believe. We don't really quiet know because we got her from an animal shelter. You can see her and her sister Dutchess (Birman) at their website below.

Yes, Yum Yum is a Lilac Point Ragdoll. I am sure of it. Your cats are very beautiful. I love any cat that is Siamese. The Ragdoll and the Birman are both part Siamese. If you want some great info on the Ragdoll and the Birman here are some very good sites!

    Hi Cat Factory,
What a beautifil kitty Mimi is. What a find that you got her at a pet shop..Snowshoes are not cheap, show quality or not.
Here are my 2 Snowshoe boys when they were kittens...just 2lbs each. They are now 4 years old and big cats. You can see their grown up picture on the Favorite Breed thread.

I don't have any siamese cats but they sure are beautiful. The closest I have is Sunny. He's half aby and half tabby. I know that the abyssinian breed has siamese in it. Sunny loves to talk to me. Here's a picture of him when I first got him. He was 8 months old in this picture. He'll be 2 in August.

I think Saphire is a Totrie point. She's a beauty! And Sunny is too.

Snowshoe, those kitties look like they are having a blast. Do they always play like that with each other?

Hi again everyone...what beautiful kitties everyone has.
Yes, my Snowshoe boys play together alot, they chase, jump and tackle each other...it is so fun to watch. Of course now they are much bigger, 12 and 17lbs. and sometimes it sounds like horses running through the house.

    My Snowshoe, Phoebe

    Hi Snowshoe Lovers,

I adopted this sweetheart in March, and shortly thereafter, I was looking through a cat book and saw some photos of Snowshoes and thought to myself, "that looks just like my new cat, Phoebe!" She's a blue point, and like all Snowshoes, she has beautiful blue eyes. I'm now a big fan of the breed!

    Cheers,
    Soleilani

I had never seen a snowshoe before, guess they're still quite rare in Europe. They sure are beautiful kitties!!
Do they have any special character traits?
