NEED PT PRAYERS FOR RIPLEY..spinal injury

Ripley was rushed to the vet this morning with a spinal injury, according to the x-ray he has no space between 2 of the discs in in spine, this is genetic and likley from his bosten terrier parent, we were told it could have happend at any time and not from any one thing. currently he can hardly stand up, after lots and lots of rest he is able to walk for about 1 minute before collapsing, but mostly all he can do is sit and lay down and only when we lay him down ourselves. he is a heavy duty anti-inflamitory for a couple weeks and all we can do at this point is hope it heals on its own. he could really usesome PT prayers and good vibes right now.

thanks guys. he is doing a little better today, he even asked to go outside! yup he managed to walk all the way to the door by himself, so I took him outside and he managed to pee all by himself too, he tryed so hard to lift his leg, he got himself to the closest snowbank and stretch himself out against it so he could lift his leg a little. we called the vet this morning because he was peeing uncontrollably and not drinking, we were told to just give him one more 10mg dose of his med. (which is what was making him pee so much) then cut it to 5mg, and to add extra water to his food. he is most defintaly looking better then he was yesterday though.

Prayers- and anti-inflamatories will hopefully work! Remember- they need time.. Read in dog general about stories as I posted what happened to Hottie. Do not count them out..
