One of mine likes lettuce--as long as it's crunchy!

Nearly anything can be a good treat, except:
    grapes
    chocolate
    raisins

and possibly a few more that I can't think of. Just be cautious with the amount you give. Dogs are happy with treats the size of your thumbnail.

Carrots are fine for treats, but if you'd like them to have any sort of nutritional value, they need to be pureed. Of course, my girls like to crunch on carrots so I give them whole baby carrots every now and then.

Garlic is fine in small amounts, in fact, it's in most dog foods. It's a natural repellent for fleas.

Raw veggies are fine if you liquify them. Dogs can't digest the cellulose wall so they can't get at the nutrients inside. So the raw veggies literally go in one end and straight out the other. Dogs get little, if any, benefit from chunks of raw veggies. So if you want to feed veggies as a nutritional supplement, you should either cook or liquify them. However, I'll feed Giselle a giant raw carrot every now and then if I'm running low on bully sticks and RMBs.

As for frosted mini wheats, I would say no. Plain mini wheats should be okay for an occassional treat, but I don't think jolting your dog's system with a sudden increase of pure sugar would be beneficial. I'll sometimes use whole wheat bread chunks for Giselle since she looooves carbs for some reason.

My golden and ECS love roasted potatoes (the golden is on a restricted diet for allergies) and cooked cauliflower. The ECS loves carrots.

If you're looking for a regular treat, the potatoes are easy--every few day I cut up a big pan and roast them, then stick them in the fridge. Yukons work the best (don't fall apart).

    Jen loves everything. Typical hound.

Her favourite thing is probably sweet potatoes, raw.
