I received this in an email from the founder/director of one of the animal rescue organizations here in town (Animal Welfare Inc., http://www.animalwelfareinc.org/) . Photo attached, please cross post!


I have attached a photo of Billy when he was only about 2-3 months old. He is now almost
8 months old.

$500 REWARD for information leading to the conviction of the persons
who stole Billy, the cat, from PetSmart on Youree Drive in Shreveport, LA
On Sunday - October 21, 2006.

A woman and 2 children asked an employee of Petsmart to see the cats in the
adoption center at Petsmart. The employee let the people in to the adoption
center and left them. After about 30 minutes or so, the cage was found opened,
the cat and people were gone.

The woman is described as in her 40's, blonde hair , about 5'4" and a bit on the
heavy side.

The girl is described as about 12 with dark shoulder length hair.
The boy is described as tall - about 5'11", blonde hair, and a lazy eye.

Wow -- are you sure this was a Petsmart? Our Petsmart has one key, locked in an office and you need to get a manager to get the key. Its standard company practice. And even though I volunteer for the rescue, if I am working, I can not show people cats... not even if the "nice" manager is on duty that day.

Darn it! Why did that have to STEAL one.... It was just wonderful of the "adult" (?) here to teach the child how to steal!!

I hope they find the people and get the kitty back.

Thats Just Awful, And You Wonder What Kind Of Life This Cat Is Going To Have With Thieves.
That Pretty Lax Of Petsmart, Not To Have The Cages Locked.
At Least That Cat Is Altered.
I Hope That Cat Will Have A Good Life.
