RHINE, Wis. -- There is an amazing rescue story out of Sheboygann County that might seem hard to believe.
Jesse, a labrador-German shepherd mix, saved its 49-year-old disabled owner from a burning house fire in Rhine, Wis., but died when she went back in to try to rescue the cat.
"And she heard the cat upstairs, and she went back up there to get the cat and didn't come back down," owner Jamie Hanson said.
Hanson said she was going to be released from the hospital Monday night, less than 24 hours after her 13-year-old dog's heroic feat.
RIP Pup.
