Or, as Smudge thinks of it, Get The Bug! This silly inexpensive toy bounces in a way that just gets my little Mighty Hunter all fired up. Of course, like most cats, he prefers play that involves a human, but sometimes if I prop it so that it dangles he'll swat at it on his own (purring all the while).
