    Koko - the kitty-loving gorilla!

    Here is a picture of Koko, the lowlands gorilla that has been taught to "speak" using American Sign Language (ASL). Koko lives in northern California, with her "boyfriend" Ndume and her human friends and even other animal friends.

    Koko is very gentle and loves her kitty very much. Adults and kids will enjoy the information available at

    Once you see Koko communicating, you will never think of animals as "dumb" again!
