Mixing Fish...?

I have a mexican walking fish at home, but i would love to brighten up the tank a bit with some fish. i know you can't use little fish because the mexican walking fish will eat them, and you cant use big fish because they nip at the mexican walking fish's gills and kill them. I was wonder about plecos? i dont know if they could go together. does anyone know???

No, I wouldn't. Plecos need big tanks when they grow. Also, plecos take every opportunity possible to suck the slimecoats off big, slow fish and can kill them this way. Given the differing needs of the walking "fish" I'd house it with only its own species.
