    Wow!!! That's amazing, Sue! There's such a need for horse rescue! I wonder how they got started?? Maybe one of the rescue volunteers also has a love for horses?

    Actually, Sandra, a Great Pyr Rescue person is also a Humane Investigator in MI. She was involved with the horse case and now is trying to help them out, too! I sent the info to my brother, he's a horse person. Maybe he knows someone who can help!

    That's great Sue!! Networking, as they say!! Your brother has horses??? Oh, lucky him! There just isn't enough "coverage" of the plight of abused and neglected horses Thanks to you friend!

    Yes, Sandra, so true. In fact, a long while back, my sister-in-law was an investigator for the hooved animal humane society. She had to quit. The neglect and abuse was so horrible, it affected her too much (now this is a real strong person). She could not take it. I could not even listen to the stories. Way too sad.

    How great of the Great Pyr Rescue to take on such a huge undertaking.

    I hope they find homes for all those horses.

    How fantastic that they are looking after bigger "dogs" Mind you, and Great Pyr is not much smaller than a horse anyway

    Now about horses :
    We live "out in the sticks" (or so people say), and there are many farms out here offering adjistment for horses.

    About 3 months ago, the SPCA stepped in as some MAN (read LOSER< IDIOT) left his horse to starve .....

    Now, YES, he is an IDIOT and the newspapers here put his full name and most of his address in the paper ..... but I also want to know - WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PEOPLE WHOSE PROPERTY THE HORSE WAS ON!!!!!
    Surely they have some responsibility.

    I COULD NOT just leave the horse if someone was not looking after it .......... {{{{tears}}}}

    Sorry ..............
