Sweetpea had her babies early this morning and she was such a good girl.
Well except for the first one. Poor thing was screaming and didn't know what to do, but once it was out she went right to work on it. Then the rest came easy for her.
She had the first one at 3:40 AM #2) 4:09 AM 3#) at 4:55 and surprise, surprise, #4) at 5:33 AM. I'm praying that this is it for her. Poor thing is so tired.

Here are just 2 pictures for now. The rest will come when every thing is cleaned up. I'm going to try and sneak in a few hours sleep.
Catch you all later on. :D

When I went back into the room after posting this I took another head count.
Lets just say....."MAKE THAT 5 BABIES!!!!!"

She obviously had another one around 6:10 when I was on the computer.

Oh Sweetpea! What a brave clever girl you are giving birth to such wonderful little babies. I'm sure you'll be a brilliant mum to them. And look you have a little sweetpea! The same colours as you, and no doubt will be as beautiful :)
Congratulations to all involved. I feel so proud and I'm not ever there!

Oh my that is amazing. Somehow, I thought that once it was time for the kittens to be born, that they sorta "popped out" within a few minutes. But I see by the timing that that labor goes on for 45 minutes or more on each baby!!

What an incredible sight to see those brand new babies next to Sweetpea, who is already mothering them.

That number five baby was surely a shock to meowmie :)

Thank you for sharing the news, Lorraine.

Awwwww! I'm so glad everything went smoothly. And I'm really glad you didn't listen to me when I suggested sending the babies to the bridge before they were born. I looks like Sweetpea didn't have any problems carrying and delivering those precious ones.

Thank you everyone for your nice comments. :D

Kuhio it was a chance that we took and I'm relieved that it's over with and everything went very well. Sweetpea is such a good mommy for being a kitten still herself.

Please the next update.

What adorable infants! And such a beautiful, valiant mommy! And proud Grandma to watch over and spoil and photograph them..

THANK YOU SO MUCH, Lorraine. Because of you, Sweetpea did not have to have her babies with that awful Pierre person as her, uh, guardian, cough, cough.

Congratulations to the new family!
