http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/warmingnap.jpg Found Fritz like this under the covers this morning.Most likely how he slept all night,don't know how he could breathe,he seems to like it.Just after 11 last night,Fritz is sitting in the doorway of my bedroom,I tell him to come ,he didn't went to get him and run off towards the livingroom.I wasnt getting up to chase him,he did go back to bed however.We didn't get the big amount of snow thney were forecasting,it is freezing rain,has since early this morning and maybe till 11 a.m. to noon.After that ,then there may be an inch or so of snow,who knows,they were wrong about the big amount.Dad is fine,I wish he would use his walker right,can't tell him or he gets mad.He is hard to understand sometimes.Words are not coming out clearly and he gets digusted when Mom or I can't understand him the first time.He has a bone marrow test on Thursday,see waht happens with that and I think it is today maybe that Auntie Irene starts chemotherapy. :cool:

Fritz!! You look so cozy there. Daisy and Delilah are always under the covers sleeping. I guess they're burrowers by nature. I always wonder how they can breathe. However, Fritz looks like he has a huge pile of covers on top of him ;) We don't ever need that many blankets here. You know how to get warm don't you cutie?

Barry, maybe if you and your Mom can get a medical person to show your Dad how to use his walker properly, he might listen and not get upset. There is a technique to it. Sometimes we listen to outsiders before we listen to our closest family members and we have less of a tendancy to get angry with someone we don't know real well. Just a thought :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/dadsboy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/glowing.jpg Fritz curled up again with Dad,I have his squeakies sitting on the stool.the light in the window is the candle.I guess it happens when the flash goes off and causes this light effect.The other one is Fritz watching out the window.The Orange glow comes from the candle next to Fritz.i will get this right yet about Dad's pills.The Riluzole pills are still to be ordered and dad will have at least a month's supply, maybe more cost about $650,we wil pay $100 a month.Taffy had to go the Vets today,she got bit with something ,maybe a Spider,side of her face swelled up,she knew something was wrong,she cowered.Larry took her to the vet,got some pils for it which are $100. getting a litle snow now,not even an inch,but we didi get a lot of ice buildup. :cool:

I can't believe how you sit on that foot stool so pretty, Fritzie!! You're a camera ham, buddy!! I sure hope Taffy is okay. I've talked to two people today that had been bitten by spiders.
Those pills for your Dad sound expensive Barry. I hope they will really help him. A wheelchair sounds like a good idea. I hope and pray for the best for him every day. :)
That is the most unusual light in the pictures. Very unique.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/flipdog.jpg Fritz flipped over on his back next to dad.Looks like his ears have done a disappearing act .Fritz keeps wanting to go out in the cold, reason or not.He then starts barking as soon as he is out.I go for a treat,go to the door to get him to come,he won't come,so I have to get my shoes on and out in the cold to bring him in.He is now either in the window or with Dad on the couch. :cool:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/fritziendad.jpg Fritz and Dad this morning on the couch,Fritz turned his head at the last moment.No hurry to go bed,even when I was going, he did shortly after I was in the bathroom.This morning,he was right there curled up with dad,he had his cereasl with me,sitting up and begging, and holding up one paw.Whenhe had that , he had to go out in the cold,didn't stay out too long only 7 fahrenheit out.When dad sat up to look at this picture,Fritz never even moved,stayed on Dad's lap. :cool:

There's our little buddy!! Fritz, it seems you're always where the food is aren't you cutie? We know how that works ;) I can't believe how cold it is there, Barry. Fritz must be freezing!! It looks like that snow turned to ice huh? We had a little cold front here but I think it's going back up to 80 degrees tomorrow. Your Mom and Dad look great in the pictures!! Awwwww!!! We love the picture of you sitting up cutie!! Best wishes to all the family, Barry. I hope Auntie Irene can start her therapy soon so she can work on the cure. I don't know much about the bone marrow testing but I am hoping that will help him somehow.

Barry, I love the picture of Fritz in the snow. He looks like he is begging you to let him back in. :) We had some snow today but it just stuck to the grass. It's strange to be in January and have not even had a measurable snowfall.

In this picture Fritz reminds me of my Ripley. He goes under anything I am reading too.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/patioboy.jpg Fritz out on the back patio not 20 minutes ago on one of his many excursions to the patio.You have go out and prod him to come back in,won't come in on his own.We had friends visit dad today,Fritz grabbed the lady's boot,one like mom's.Fritz also latched on to my running shoe and mom's slipper.He was in the window when mom went to the garage with a bag of garbage and he took off and grabbed it.Even with help,dad somehow can't find any strength in his legs to pull himself up.A therapist is coming tomorrow,see what that does and maybe we wil have the pills.I am getting a little worried about him.He has had problems with his legs for a lot longer than he told anyone about ,not even our family doctor.had he told anybody sooner,he may have been in better shape now. :cool:

What a horrible situation it is for your Dad, Barry. Is there anyway you can get something like a handle above him so he can pull himself up? There's a name for it but I don't know what it is. Hopefully, the therapist has some good ideas. I can imagine how frustrating it is since I have such bad arthritis myself. It really controls your life and it's no fun at all. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/blankynap.jpg Fritz about 20-30 minutes ago snoozing on the blanket.Dad started taking the pills tonight,so we will see how this works out.Got a Wheelchair,but the backrest is too big,too much foam,so probably need another one.Fritz didn't like the wheelchair,barked at it and would run from it when it got near him.Now have a big plastic toilet seat over the existing one to make it easy for dad. :)

Fritz isn't sure if the wheelchair is completely safe for Papa yet. He has to check everything out as we all know. It's ok buddy. It will help Papa. I'm just thrilled that your Dad has started the meds, Barry. I sure hope it helps him. Keep taking good care of Papa, Fritzie!! :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/coverdog.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/lazypoochy.jpg This is how I found Fritz this this morning,covered up next to Dad and later with mom while she reads the paper.He had his all his breakfast today.I just had to put him in his cage,the speech therapist is coming to help Dad speak a little clearer.Mom was worried about my last night,had pains in her stomach,thought she might have to go to the hospital.she phoned a few minutes ago,she is fine now,pains have gone,mom thought it might be she is eating too many Apples.Fritz barked a little bit after he went to the cage,he has quieted down for now and when the doorbell rings shortly he will bark again. :cool: Mom is going to call the lady about the wheelchair and see what can be done.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/yawny.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/windowseat-1.jpg Fritz with Papa in his new chair,looks like Fritz is yawning and Fritz in the front window tonight.Fritz is with me downstairs tonight,Mom has some ladies here to play Euchre,a card came.Fritz would be bothering them all night,so he stays here tonight.He is sitting and whining at me .He wants up .Dad has at least tried the chair twice,but still spends most of the time on the couch where it is harder to get him off of.The pills will prevent any more symptoms from occuring like needing a ventilator and a tracheostomy,where a hole is cut just below the throat to help breathing.These pills won't help what has already happened like his legs and his speaking.Doesn't the wheelchair right at times,he is using it like the walker and not having someone push while he is in it and when he walks behind,pushes way too far ahead and working harder to push.He is kind of stubborn.He was able to put a small handrail on just outside the bedroom with my help,gave him something to do. :) Fritz had to go meet the ladies,I carried him up and he greeted them in his usual way.

I'm glad to hear your Dad is trying the use the chair, Barry. In time, he may like it better than the couch. I know it made him feel good to help you with the handrail. Thoughts and prayers are coming your way :)

So as you can see ,we have enough to worry about,Mom worries more about than me,you can't conrrol it,why worry about it, though it does concern me.

I really like the looks of that New Chair too!!! Everyone is breaking it into the Family Sitting Room and it is placed near a window that Fritz often uses to scout out all the intruders~ :D He's such a good Dog!!!

I am so sorry that your aunt is in the hospital but when we are sick that is where we need to be. I hope your dad will have a good day today. Your Dad is looking well, Barry. Maybe the pills are helping with his speech? I saw a piece on the Today show yesterday about Meridith Viera's husband's book. It was about people living with chronic illness and how they cope with it. I think it's due for release next month-maybe your Dad would enjoy reading it. One of the people he had in the film about it was a lady with ALS. It was very interesting and compelling to see how people cope with being ill all the time. Take care and give Fritz some pets and kisses from us!! :)

Fritz standing up on Marlene's lap ready to kiss her and Fritz up on Dad leg.Larry come and put the other railing on and dad likes that.Dad seems to be walking better since he put his leg braces back on.Sometimes,can get up fine from the couch,other times not,should be sitting in the new chair,did once.Fritz got into the shoes again yesterday,grabbing Larry's and my shoes and going under the dining rolom table with them,proud as can be.Fritz was waiting for mom to bring me back from the hockey game from the window,then went to the back door and greeted us.The Bowmanville Eagles beat the Bancroft Hawks 9-0.Fritz had his cereal,toast an porridge after he snoozed with dad on the couch,then went out in the cold,barked to come in i gess then had me get him weater,didn't drink it,mom filled it again and he drank it.He is probably back with dad now on the couch.

Everybody looking great again Barry!! Great pictures. Fritz is so fluffy and white and adorable. We want to come over so you can sit on our lap and give us kisses Fritz. You can even run off with our shoes ;) I hope your Dad keeps wearing his braces, Barry. That helps alot. I dscovered that when my knee started giving me such trouble. The brace means walking better and getting around better, even though it seems to be a hassle to put on. How is Marlene feeling and how is Auntie Irene? Sending some belly rubs to you Fritz!! :D

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/snowyboy.jpg Fritz about 20 minutes ago,outside in thew snow waiting to come in.You usually have to show him a treat to get him in,don't give it to him and tonight,it didn't work and had to go and get him to come in.Now it is my right side of my back hurting.Dad wanted the oil checked in the tractor,it is her unti. spring when Larry's brother-In-Law Don Jensen is going to buy it,we are just storing it here until then.I had to climb up into the trailer to get to the tractor.Stepped onto the wheelwell and then over ther side of the trailer.The trailer is going to Larry's other brotherIn-Law Al Flintoff in the spring.
