    Adorable Archie!

Dearest Archie, a.k.a. Sir Archibald Cat, aren't you ever just the most adorable little thing imaginable! You are so cute there, lying on your back on the bright red afghan in that nice bed and holding up those back feet complete with darling jellybean toes! Your soft-looking fur is so pretty, in an unusual design with that black tabby top over white bottom, complete with the black spot on your nose and the smudge under your chin on your sweet face. And those slightly-crossed eyes gazing out at me are precious! I wish I could reach through the screen and down to Charlotte, NC to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me .

And what an amazing story you have to tell! Your dear Purrrson-to-be is a feeder of a colony of feral cats. She had recently lost her precious Reggie, Sir Reginald Cat, after having him for only six years, as a stray who had lived for about five years alone in her yard. She went to pieces and said "NO MORE, my heart is broken." Then one night, two new kittens showed up in the colony. One was almost identical to Reggie, and she wondered if he was Reggie reincarnated, or at least related to him! She brought you home, intending at first to foster you but then realizing she needed you. She's sure that Reggie sent you to her because he knew how lonely she was. You've brought her so much happiness and love, and you've done a terrific job helping her heart to heal. She is so grateful you came along, because she needed you so! She can't imagine life without you. Now it's ten years later, and you two have been enjoying life together all this time. You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Archie, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

P.S. Your Purrrson's group is Friends of Feral Felines. We thank them for all the fine work they are doing helping so many kitties!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Adorable Archie!

Hi Archie, a.k.a. "Sir Archibald!" A very happy Cat of the Day to you, sweetheart!

What a beautiful, heartwarming and life affirming tribute your Mom has shared with us, Archie; a case of mutual rescue if there ever was one!

No doubt your much loved and missed predecessor, Reggie, had a paw in leading your Mom to you! Yes, you certainly were assigned a most important job: helping your Mom's heart to heal, bringing some much needed comfort and happiness, joy and laughter to her life! And in return, she healed you, inside and out!

I trapped him, got him healthy and fixed and brought him home, still convinced I would just foster him because I was still so hurt about Reggie. But after about 5 months my heart healed and I was able to realize I needed him in my life. I am sure that Reggie sent him to me because he knew how lonely and upset I was. Now he has brought me such happiness and love!
So many of us here understand your Mom saying "neve again!" after such a great loss; the grief is immeasureable. But after some time we realize (as did your Mom) that we have so much to give, once again able to open up our hearts to another. No beloved kitty can or should take the place of another. Rather, they are loved individually but equally for the unique and special ones that they are!

What a lucky boy you are, Archie, having landed in the bestet furever home imaginable, having the bestest furever human ever; treated to all the best that life has to offer, most especially unconditional love! Needless to say, you return her love a zillion fold!

I am so lucky he found me when I needed him so! I can't imagine my life without him.
You truly are a treasure, Archie, heaven sent, and so very deserving of your big day of honor!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, Archie! Meeting you today, reading your Mom's beautiful, love filled tribute has warmed me to the core! I hope you enjoy a very special Cat of the Day celebration...eating and napping, hehe; spending special time with your Mom, receiving tons of cuddles and kisses; being loved and pampered to pieces, treated to all your heart desires and more! Lots of love, hugs and smooches to you, precious Archie, our very special and most deserving Cat of the Day, EVERY day!!!

Your coloring and markings, simply gorgeous! And those crossed eyes only add to your charm!
