Think I'll take a nightcap, how about a Hot Buttered Rum? I'm kind of tired, I have been moving into the new house, still have so much to do to get settled in.

I was sent a artist's rendition of a glass walkway (semi circular) that was being built.....it seemed kind scary to me!!!!

    Wuss!

Just winding down after a long day at work. I think I'll take a double BM to go. Just going to veg tonight and tomorrow I'll see our local parade and attend the ceremonies at the cenotaph. It wasn't that long ago I used to march in a Pipe Band on Remembrance Day.....or Veteran's Day as you people call it. I'll make sure to pack lots of kleenex in my pocket.

    Lest we forget.....11am.....2 minutes silence.

Take two minutes, would you mind?
    It's a pittance of time,
For the boys and the girls who went over.
In peace may they rest, may we never
    forget why they died.
    It's a pittance of time.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Well done on the dollars Richard, spend it wisely, and if not make the hangover worth it.
Glad to hear Ol blue is still ticking over David. (apple butter and biscuits sound pretty good)
Great sentiments Slick, fortunately my grandfathers survived that carnage somehow.
Better have a Corona I feel. I have a big urge for them lately, I'm not sure what that means? (apart from the fact that I'm mighty thirsty )

Happy Veterans Day everyone. Now we know why Mario was way up on the chimney and the roof...........he was trying to put up the flags in honor of the day.

Here Mario, a fresh jar of cherries just for you!♥♥

Hey everyone.....it's dark and rainy and cold up here and I could use some warming up. Think I'll grab a blankie, a cup of tea and curl up by the fire. Mario, you did such a good job of hanging the flags....look, you even put up a Canadian one. What a sweetie you are.

Hey, Mario hung the flags and didn't even let them touch the ground!

Anyone for some apple crisp with vanilla ice cream? I brought a big pan with me and some extra logs for the fireplace. I'll just make another pot of coffee while the barkeep's out.

Sounds great LH but I'll pass as I don't eat sweets. However, I've got plenty of Baileys to go with the coffee. Thanks for the logs. It's nice and toasty now.

    Corinna,

Cable and lever and linkage systems were SOoo much more reliable. I miss the KISS principle in engineering.

David, I mentioned Hershey because we could meet in the middle on a road trip. We could restock the bar's chocolate supply while we're at it.
