Way cool, Kay! I've just gotten a break in the clouds and got to see a bit of it. It's very bright in the telescope! Like Anna said, it hurts to look at it.

I hope it goes red for us!

I got some great pictures of it. Thankfully there are no clouds tonight.

Kay, that's an awesome picture. To see it better I've got all the lights out in the appt. What a show. Next one won't happen until 2007.

I just finished watching it, for now. I couldn't get any pictures of it though, sad. I'll see if I can try to get a good one.

From where I stand, the moon is just starting to reveal herself again. Didn't see much orange or red but still a good show of the heavens.

It was too cloudy here to see much of anything. I'll hope for better luck in 2007...
Thanks for posting the picture, Kay!

It was cloudy all evening so at 9:15 I wasn't very hopeful, but went outside to be welcomed by a clear night sky and the eclipse starting.

My pictures didn't turn out. I even tried the flower option. Kay, your picture is gorgeous!

The moon was a reddish hue for quite awhile. My parents and I admired it with the binoculars after it had gone full.

I saw it too - cool! When I first looked it was like Kay's picture. The next time I looked it was all orangie red and I think it was starting to reveal itself again. Unfortunately I have a ton of schoolwork to do so I just took quick peaks to watch the progress. Kimmy, I never thought of the binoculars - duh!

Oh I thought for sure some of you would get some great shots of the red moon so I didn't even take the camera out. It was a beautiful red here, and for quite a while too.

Clear skys here last night so I had a magnificent view of the eclipse. Very impressive when it got so very dark.

My husband laughed when I assumed a surfer's pose - one arm in front of me (pointing towards the moon) and one arm behind me and declared,

    "we're in alignment!"

These are not the droids you were looking for

    WW!!

Thanks for the Heads Up, Kimmy!!

We had a nice mix of high, thin clouds that passed in front
of the Moon throughout the Eclipse - just enough clouds to
highten the beauty - but never blocking the vew of the Moon for more
than a few minutes at a time.

*I* was impressed ~ can't say the same for the Dawgs!

"DAD! WHAT?? are you *lookin* at!???
    Whutz a E-Klipse, Smokey??"

"We" parked on the causeway over the BigLake - nice and *dark*
except for the car and truck traffic that passed ~
"Hey Dude - turn yur headlites off -
    Dad's watchin da E-klipse!"

  15. Here in "sunny" California I was able to see it disappear but then the next set of storm clouds rolled in (it rained, with thunder and lightening all night!) so I did not get to see it reappear. I kept going outside to look for it and one gray boy managed to sneak out the door once... Fortunately it was too wet for him...

    Photos please!
