    Jaime, that was beautiful. I know you said it was impossible to really put your love and your feelings into words, but you did as well as written vocabulary allows, and I am sure that we can imagine the rest by looking into Samantha's beautiful expressive eyes.

    Samantha, there was never a dog more loved than you! I know Mommy is going to make this evening as special as she can for you. You give Mommy smiles and laughter, you preserve her sanity on days when other humans and happenings threaten to drive her nuts. There's always your gentle and understanding love to come home to, your goofy clowning to make her laugh and your warm and genuine kisses to sooth her soul.     Thank you all so much for your sweet replies. It means so much for me to express myself to other people who understand how I feel. For her birthday tomorrow, Samantha is getting groomed and then we're going to PetSmart. I don't know what we'll do for dinner, but it'll be something she likes and then we'll go get a snowball - she loves them!

    Thanks again for the responses. It really means a lot that you all "get" how special my girl is.
