Robin, it can be VERY stressful for two males to be in constant view of each other. They release stress hormones (adrenaline most likely) when another male is in sight. I'm sure there are some males that do ok with each other in sight, but I can't imagine always having mine stressed like that.

I believe they do make bowls with a clear divider and an extra black divider so that you can let them flare for a bit each day, and then give them a rest.

Frank is in a regualr 5 gallon aquarium with his 2 gubbie buds, 2 plecos & an african dwarf frog.

(yes I know plecos get big & it was an accident that I have 2 of them, but they all have homes lined up for when they get big, they are babies right now)

There's actually a LOT of extra room in the tank right now.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.

Mike is is a 1 gallon tank from Petcetera. I don't have any pictures right now. I'll get some later.

One day I would like to have some pretty bowls with nice decorations and/or plants all over my house with a betta in each one. I know a few people that do that.
    I've been BOO'd!

My betta is just in my 33 gallon tank with the rest of my fish. I don't have any pics, but as soon as I get home I will take some.

    *Thanks Ashley*

I love it! And its the biggest divided betta tank I could find - I feel bad keeping them in something too small. It comes with the filter but I don't use it with the divider. So with that, its just like a regular betta bowl. Its not bad to have the bettas see each other, I find it keeps them active and entertained (plus they will get used to each other after a while and not flare up so much). Just don't fill the water to the very top of the divider and you are all set. I did that once, and I woke up to two bettas on one side. (But they both survied, fins grew back, and are doing great - that was my fault, not the products).

Be at peace, Erin, I will miss you and remember your sweet face always...
