Sweetie - didn't mean to make you cry. I did smile at the part where Blemie is telling his owners exactly WHAT the next dog should be like...which made me think that Duke was right fussy about who your next companion should be too!

Val, that poem,' OLD DOG IN A LOCKET' is so touching. I have some of Mandy's hair. I could do that. Now I just need a locket. I have one on a bracelet but would like it near my heart.

This time last year, I was on the floor beside you, trying to take in every moment with you. Knowing the next day I would have to say goodbye. The tears fall now, just as they did then. A part of my heart will always ache from that goodbye. It hurts so much to have the bond weakened. But it will never be broken. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. Just a little note to say I'm missing you While editing a pic of Dasher and Doogie, tears came from nowhere. I thank you so much for sending me Dasher. After a year, we're finally really settling in. He's such a sweetheart. Do me a favor and tell the angels I need him here on earth for years to come, ok? I hope you get snow for Christmas. I'd love to see you playing in it. I'll love you always.

We're celebrating Christmas tomorrow evening. It's my second one without you and still so hard. It just doesn't seem Christmas without you. The picture that I have a candle by is so lifelike. I look into your eyes and it seems you know what I'm feeling. Missing you more than usual. Love you always.

I dreamed of you last night. We were in a big warehouse type place and it was so bright. I was throwing a yellow frisbee for you. You didn't know how to play with them before we said goodbye. It felt so good to see you flying by me with that frisbee in your mouth, having so much fun. The ending was kind of strange but I guess that was your way of saying you couldn't follow me. It was just good to see you happy and to sort of be with you again.
