I got my FreshFlow off eBay. I think I paid like $15 or $20 for it plus shipping, only slightly used. It's totally silent (except when it runs low on water, then it kind of gurgles to tell you), fairly easy to clean out, the filters aren't expensive at all (I get them at PetSmart) and the kitties love it. They drink from it all the time. Tito's really funny about it, he'll practically straddle the thing and then drink right from the top of the ramp.
