Here in Oregon you can have many different kinds of venemous snakes. For some reason people seem to choose the cobras but I prefer the rattlers. They are just so much friendlier/cuter. You need a special permit for the Western Diamondbacks. Eastern Diamondbacks are perfectly legal with no permits though. We're working on adding an Eastern to our home too. Hopefully soon! Though I think I am more partial to the Westerns.
