Shrubs sound like a good idea to keep them away from the fence, and the chicken wire sounds good to keep them from digging.

I think in stead of us having to look at the chicken wire, I am going to put it on the neighbors side of the fence!!! HA HA!!

If only we didn't live on a corner lot, then we could have gone with the 6' wood fence all the way down their yard and all I'd have to deal with would be them digging under the fence, but noooooo I have to keep them from fighting with each other when they stand up and fight OVER the fence too! Ahhhhhh!!
