I wanted to visit Greece many years ago until my grandmother, who traveled all over europe in the 70s told me what city's had pitiful strays, Athens, Spain (don't remember which city), some in Italy- I remember being told that people moving from East Europe to the West, must leave their pets behind and cannot afford the required quarrentine time (or some regulation) and so they are abandoned in stop-over cities in Europe. I don't recall seeing any strays in Germany but I wasn't looking back then either- there weren't any obvious colonies in the cities I visited. Greece should be worried about the shame of mass poisoning and the slurs they will recieve for those actions to rid themselves of the strays in that chosen manner- jerks. I am surprised there are no names to send letters to yet!!
