Glad you missed hitting the "rocks"! They do look like robins to me. Put them back but keep a close eye. Depending on the bird, they might throw them out of the nest. They look awfully healthy so I doubt they were "throw aways" to begin with. Where was the nest, in a tree or on the ground?
