Wales' slice of American Pie

Most people seem to have heard of Scotland, Ireland and, of course, England, but, and I know it is really silly, sometimes I get a little upset when no-one recognises Wales as being the fourth of the countries that make up the UK.

I know of Wales, always thought it was a fun name (whales/Wales) and we have a town called Wales in Massachusetts, not far from where I grew up.

That was fun! Not only do I know of Wales.....I've been there! I had somewhere how to spell the name "Sara" in Welsh.... it was very, very, very long!

Lots of Welsh settled in the Upper Peninsula (UP). Pasties are very popular food there.

A friend of mine in London is married to a Welshwoman. In fact, her father who died recently, was in the House of Lords I believe.

My kitties are names for poets Orangie Dylan is named for Dylan Thomas - though often considered to be an American poet - he was indeed, from Wales

Hey Chris - Just wondered what £1,362.00 in 1718 is worth today (re; the Yale article) - it's £145579.32 - WOW!!!

Verrrrry interesting information. I did know an awful lot of Welsh people emigrated to Argentina - in fact a friend of mine married an Argentinian of Welsh extraction!
